Jackson Health Rehabilitation Hospital Programming, Design, Procurement and Construction Administration Services – Survey Services

For the construction of a new Rehabilitation Hospital on Jackson Health’s main campus, FR Aleman performed a Boundary and Topographic Survey, Platting, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) Services.

Survey: The Boundary Survey identified property locations and zoning that were affected by the new construction. The Topographic Survey showed all above ground improvements to the project area. FR Aleman also scanned the exterior and interior of the hospital with a static LiDAR scanner, resulting in a 3D model of the facility and BIM ready deliverables.

SUE: FRA provided SUE services to locate identified utilities and designate sufficient locations to delineate the existing underground utilities, via GPR and vacuum excavation test holes. A total of 70 test holes were dug to provide the horizontal and vertical location of each utility. The project was located along a high traffic roadway, so SUE services were performed at night to increase the safety of the field crews and minimize disruptions to local commuters. Designated/marked lines were surveyed and incorporated into the Survey File. Test hole reports were prepared detailing the utility information, including diameter, material, station, offset, and the depth of the top and bottom pipe cover.
